ZINC PRO ZN/FE 15 PROCESS

PROCESS DESCRIPTION

ZINC PRO ZN/FE 15 PROCESS zinc-iron alkaline system is, ammonia-free and cyanide-free process specifically designed for both barrel and rack plating. This solution produces a deposit with superior corrosion protection properties. Our unique alkaline process produces an iron alloy of 0.5% (0.5% - 0.6%) with excellent throwing power and uniform alloy deposition across a wide range of current densities. Corrosion performance in neutral salt spray for 8 µm thick deposits can be 500 hours to white rust and as high as 1,000 hours to red rust. In addition, ZINC PRO ZN/FE 15 PROCESS offers the unique advantage of accepting trivalent clear and superior black (non-silver) trivalent chromate coatings.

FEATURES AND BENEFITS
  • Zinc iron alloy deposit containing 0.5 – 0.6% remains constant across a wide range of current densities.
  • Various topcoats can be applied for better corrosion protection and/or torque tension.
  • Accepts trivalent clear and superior black (non-silver) chromate coatings.
  • Conforms to many automobile manufacturing specifications, including heat aging requirement.
